There are a number of ways you can donate money to us:
An In Memory donation to Spurgeons is an excellent way to remember the life of a loved one. Your kind gift is a wonderful tribute that will help the lives of many vulnerable and disadvantaged children.
There are a number of ways you can choose to remember a departed family member or friend, or even to mark the anniversary of their passing.
You can make a single donation or set up a regular payment by:
Post - please download and complete this form [link to form] and return it to us with your donation. Please make cheques payable to Spurgeons and return to Spurgeons, 74 Wellingborough Road, Rushden, Northants NN10 9TY
Online – make your donation to us online
Telephone – if you would prefer to make your donation over the phone, please call 01933 417388
Online tribute page – setting one of these up is an easy way to collect donations in memory of someone. You can include photographs and memories of your loved one. Once the page is set up, all donations will come directly through to Spurgeons (with an additional 25% Gift Aid), in your loved one’s name, and we will send you a notification and our deepest thanks. Here is some guidance from JustGiving on setting up a fundraising page.
Collection in lieu of flowers – if you would like to hold a collection from family and friends instead of flowers, please let us know. We can send you or your funeral directors our In Memory envelopes, which allow donations to receive and extra 25% in Gift Aid.
Take part in an event or challenge in memoriam
Donating to Spurgeons from your salary will help us to make a difference to the thousands of children and families we support each year.
Give as You Earn is the easiest way to make a regular donation from your salary. Because the donation is taken before you pay tax, it means that every £1 you donate only costs you 80p, or 60p if you are in a higher-rate tax payer.
If you would like to give to us regularly from your salary, please complete the Payroll Giving form on this page and email it to us at firstname.lastname@example.org or post to:
74 Wellingborough Road
Q. I don’t have much spare money, but I have time to donate to help some children in need. Can I help Spurgeons?
A. Of course you can. Please visit our Volunteering [link] page as we are always looking for new people to help run services, be mentors and even assist with jobs like administration.
Q. I’m taking part in an event where I can be sponsored, can I raise money for Spurgeons?
A. Absolutely! We would love you to support us and help us help even more young people. Contact the Fundraising team on 01933 417388 or email email@example.com and let us know about your event.
Q. Do you need me to sign up to donate a monthly amount?
A. Not at all. We appreciate donations from everyone and for any amount. So whether you can spare £5 as a one off contribution, provide regular donations by direct debit, want to speak to us about a donation from your business or gift Spurgeons something from your Will, we’re grateful for every bit of your support. Please visit our Donations page [link to donations page] for more information.
