Spurgeons is one of the UK's leading children's charities, firmly supported by Christian beliefs and values, helping to support disadvantaged children and their families through delivering projects to support children, young people, their families and communities to find long-lasting solutions to the challenges they face.

We are passionate about the work we do and need equally committed members on our team to help us achieve those goals.

We are committed to safeguarding the welfare of children and young people we serve. This post is subject to necessary safeguarding checks including an appropriate level DBS Disclosure.

We are looking for Public Speaker volunteers to join our friendly local team to partake in/ deliver public speaking engagements within the community to raise awareness of Spurgeons and the work that we do.


An introduction to the charity and full training will be provided so no prior knowledge of the organisation is required.  Previous public speaking experience is desirable but not essential.  Any out of pocket expenses will be reimbursed.


Whatever your background, if you love talking to people, have flair and self motivation, are passionate about our good cause and able to get others enthusiastic about supporting it as well then we can’t wait to hear from you!
