Every survivor of domestic abuse, and their family, deserves the right response at the right time, to make them safe, sooner. That's why we're delivering new interventions and ways of working that fill the gaps in the response to domestic abuse, on behalf of SafeLives and the Norfolk County Community Safety Partnership.

We are now seeking our Peer Coordinator. You will create a peer support network by recruiting, training and supporting survivors impacted by domestic abuse, including supporting children and young people, to act as peer mentors.

As our Peer Coordinator, you will have experience of supporting volunteers and engaging service users as volunteers. You will be passionate and proactive about meeting the needs of individuals and families, with a clear understanding of how your role builds hope for their futures. You will be able to build successful partnerships within the service delivery team and with key partners, in order to deliver holistic services to improve outcomes for your clients. You will value, champion and amplify the voices of our service users, ensuring they are represented in every level of our service delivery, and in our relationships with partners.

This post is funded by Norfolk County Community Safety Partnership, Big Lottery Fund Women and Girls Initiative, The Esmée Fairbairn Foundation, The Peter Cundill Foundation and The Aurum Charitable Trust as part of the delivery model for Norwich, on behalf of SafeLives.

More detailed information is in the job description/person specification.
