Catering is an important part of the provision of the services to visitors, to the smooth running of the visit itself and to the wellbeing of offenders and their visitors, including children who are visiting. The catering element of the service is integral to the overall aim of providing a welcoming environment for all who visit residents of HMP Rochester.

This role is to support and supervise existing catering staff who are residents of the prison, to ensure the delivery of high quality refreshment services within the Visits Hall, in accordance with Spurgeons Core Values and the contract with NOMS.

You will be an effective and supportive team leader and be the central point of contact for catering work, including stock management, cash handling and supervision of staff ensuring the smooth running of the catering service. To provide specialist catering advice and support to the management team.

Weekend working is essential as the service runs seven days a week.

This post is subject to Enhanced DBS checking and additional prison clearance will be required.
