Romania

We have been working in Romania since 1992, and in partnership with Fundatia Spurgeon Romania, nine kindergarten and family centres have been established. We are still supporting four of these kindergartens and they are recognised as centres of excellence by local authorities.

EU membership is bringing changes to the political, economic and social landscape and, together with our Romanian partners, we are looking to forge strategic partnerships with local authorities and other NGOs as Romania prepares to follow the EU model of outsourcing its child welfare services to the NGO and private sector.
