Sadly some children do not have to imagine this. Their mother has died; murder, suicide or natural causes. Whatever the reason, their mother is dead. So what happens now?

For families living in Birmingham support is available from Spurgeons' Beyond the Horizon Project. Last year 153 children received bereavement support to deal with their grief. This year our highly experienced team have seen an increase in the number of children with more complex bereavement issues, for example a 21% increase in the number of referrals due to suicide and murder.
