a message from our CEO
Hello,
When I joined Spurgeons in 2005 nothing could have prepared me for the challenging, joyful and exciting work I would find myself doing, leading a committed and dedicated team of staff.
Spurgeons has been working to help children and young people in desperate need for over 140 years, moving from orphanages and ‘Boys Homes’ in its formative years to providing cutting edge, best practice support for such complex needs as loss and bereavement, young carers and those who are at risk from exclusion or in danger of getting involved in crime or anti-social behaviour.
We are outraged, organisationally and individually, that millions of children across the UK still live in poverty and we are determined to make the difference in their lives. To continue to deliver the very best for the children and young people who rely on us, we need the help of our supporters and the skills of the best of the best.
Every member of staff carries out a vital role in enabling us to continue to give children their childhoods back. We believe that every single child deserves that chance.
If you feel the same then join us today and, child by child, we’ll create a future full of opportunities – together.
Thanks,
Tim
